Today we are in Aurora, Colorado finishing installation of a new UV disinfection system at Aurora's Sand Creek Water Reuse Facility. The 17-year old system had limited turndown capabilities and manual-only cleaning – meaning it was inefficient in terms of both energy and operations. The old 864-lamp system is being replaced with just 32 highly-automated lamps in the channel. Here, Aurora's SCWRF lead and WateReuse Board Member Richard Leger discusses startup with Carollo's Nathan Evenson.
