Big waves, big beaches, and big ideas are coming together in Pismo Beach CA. Later this summer, this beach town will host an innovative water reclamation and purification demonstration system from IDE (Israel), demonstrating safe, reliable, and economical new water. This pilot program is the first step in advancing a regional recycled water project (http://regionalgroundwatersustainabilityproject.org/) that will develop a new, locally controlled and drought proof water supply for the Five Cities Communities. In June the team (Pismo Beach, WSC, IDE, and Carollo) walked the site, mapped out the visitor center, and laid the foundation for making a new sustainable water supply. Stay tuned!
