On May 3rd, the AZ Water Association honored the AZ Pure Water Brew Challenge with its 2018 Water Reuse Project of the Year Award! Carollo and CH2M designed the mobile purification plant created for the project, which is the first direct potable reuse system permitted by the State of Arizona. The design engineers were lucky to work with an amazing core project team that was also led by Pima County, Tucson Water, Marana Water, and The University of Arizona and supported by many other contributors and sponsors.
Continuing the fun, just over a week later on May 11th, Season 3 of Bill Nye Saves the World began streaming on Netflix. Professor Channah Rock of the UofA, one of our project leaders, appears in Episode 1 to discuss the purification process and sample the brew with Bill!
